Dr. Avi Hefetz graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
After five years as a physician and army commander he worked in an ENT Department, Kaplan Hospital, Israel.
He was trained at Memorial Hospital Sloan Center in New York, where he also worked at the “study of head and neck”, as well as in the clinical trial program.
Within two years, Dr. Hefetz specialized in cancer surgery, head and neck at the University of Oklahoma, with one of the leading surgeons in the world.
After returning to Israel, he was appointed senior physician of the Branch Head and Neck Surgery, Tel Aviv Medical Center (Ichilov).
Within ten years treats patients with head and neck tumors, including: diagnosis of tumors, surgical tumors removal and a variety of additional procedures and methods that can replace surgical invasion.
Dr. Avi Hefetz has published about 60 scientific papers in the medical literature and in the world, and also carried out 40 professional presentations and conferences worldwide.
He is a former senior lecturer ENT medicine at Tel Aviv University.
In November 2009 up to present he is Chairman of the Israeli surgery and head and neck cancer Association.
